Sure, but you need it color-matched. I've done four pieces in my home (sun fade) and it works very well if you have a little patience. First, you send off a small cutting of your leather to www.leathermagic.com and they will custom-color a dye for you that is water-based. You will also get a bottle of conditioner. The dye is water based, and after you clean your leather, you simply wipe it on with a rag and work the whole surface area. I use a hair dryer to speed the process, because you will need 7 to 8 coats. When you are satisfied with the color, you lock it in with a coat of conditioner. My wife always says my work doing this makes them look like new (note this is for aniline leathers only).
Painted leathers are more like...painting it on. They have a kit for that, too, but I've not personally used it as all my leather furniture is aniline (and always will be)
