Is this 2 piece worth $1200 used? Is it real leather?
All I have right now are 2 pictures of the reclining sofa and love seat, unfortunately it's a 2 hour drive with a trailer away so I want to get as much information on it as I can before actually going.
-The seller claims they paid $6,000 Canadian for the 2 piece, and that it's roughly 5 years old.
-They claim its real leather on the seating and arms, bonded leather on the sides and back.
Is this worth $1200 Canadian? That's what they were asking, I got them down to $900 but they said that would be the lowest they'd go. Do you really think it was 6,000 new?
Can anyone spot the make and model?

Bonded leather is not real leather from what I have read here on this forum. And any $6,000 piece of furniture would have real leather all around. I also am questioning the seams in the middle of the seating. Why didn't they use a whole piece of leather if this is such an expensive piece? I'd walk away.

That is $ 100 or give-away furniture in my book.

You've gotta consider I'm in canada though. Stuff is ALOT CHEAPER in the states when it's used. I was looking on kijiji and Ebay, etc.. it's in a similar price range to most used stuff.
I definately know it's worth alot more than 100 bucks where I'm from.
Putting taste bias aside, why would you consider it cheap specifically? I'm not into the modern Chesterfield looking pieces. I was specifically looking for black leather that reclines in this "poofy" style. So from a taste standpoint it's exactly what I'm looking for.
Why would you consider it cheap specifically? Does it look like real leather to you? The wrinkles indicate to me that it is.

If they paid 6000 of anything for those pieces, then they'd probably remember the maker. Or the place they bought it from. Or something. Even in Canada, I don't think anyone will be busting down their doors to give them 900 dollars. Not right now. I wouldn't feel particularly good paying 900 dollars to people who were happy to pay 6000 dollars for furniture they tired of so quickly.
