Blocking gaps at the bottom of the recliing sofa (toy or pet blocker)

I have a reclining sofa that has no legs (just the mechanisms) and doesn't back up to a wall, so the bottom is open and exposed. How can I keep my cats from getting under there. Right now we have a rolled up piece of carpet and draft stoppers around the ends and front and 2 cat tunnels so that they can't pull the rolled up carpet out. Looks like crap and I'm looking for a fix. I've tried a few items from Amazon but they haven't worked. Any ideas? I have no wall to put the sofa on. We have a reclining loveseat that backs up to a wall and we have an end table, speaker and pillow blocking access...they are very sneaky cats that like to hide.
