Custom Work on Bradington Young
Duane,
Thank you for obtaining another sale for us. Before I take up your time with a quote request, wanted to ask a question.
Does B&Y allow recliners to be ordered with tapered legs instead of the turned legs which the chair has in the catalog photo?
An example would be the Mayes 3216 3-Way Reclining Lounger. It is pictured with front legs that are turned. Could this chair be ordered with tapered legs? If so, is there a charge?
Thanks much.
Re: Bradington Young SALE period April 5th through May 2nd
I'm afraid they do not allow that. Bradington Young is very much a production company and they do not deviate from their builds or entertain any custom work. That's not unusual, most are like that. Only companies like Hancock and Moore delve into custom work.
On any recliner, let style swaps are not always easy as they have to be the exact size of the standard leg to the swing arc of the mechanism itself. Any change in height or pitch throws motion furniture way off.
