Make the Sale!
Two weeks ago new shoppers came to the store to take advantage of the Clearance Specials and they were looking for a new leather sofa and leather recliner. The sofa was easy, they loved the last Whitmore Sherrill one I had on the floor. The recliner though, not so much, the colors were wrong for her on the ones I had in stock. The wife was adamant they had to match in color, or be very close and she was not budging, and they didn't want to order a new recliner as they were bargain-shopping. Looked like the sale wasn't happening....
BUT.....I did have the matching recliner at my home, my Hancock and Moore Westwood also in a brown burnished leather. So, I sold them my own personal recliner at my house which wasn't very old and of course, meticulously maintained.
My wife just rolled her eyes at me......but hey! It's a sale!
So I had my delivery guys take the H&M Westwood we had in the store in Champion Bark leather (that no one really liked the color on) and swap them out. And you know what? I'm just as happy with that color as the Cameo I had in the previously. had two less pieces to move upstairs!

Re: Make the Sale!
Thinking outside the box!
It's a shame you had to swap the burnished recliner for a protected leather though....but at least it's still a Westwood!
I guess it's fitting since the first H&M recliner you purchased was in a protected leather....Full Circle!
I hope you are still getting one of those burnished chesterfields as your retirement gift!

Re: Make the Sale!
I'm good!. The new recliner looks good on my carpet and breaks up the "sea of brown" that was going on in the room. Besides, this is Champion leather, which along with Angelo - I think are the best finished leathers offered. Champion feels like a pure aniline, too! For my "Retirement present" I bought another Woven Legends carpet, which I really enjoy.
