help learning about antique desk
Hello,
I am trying to sell this beautiful desk that my husband bought a few years ago, and would love to know more information about it before I try to price it. I don't know much about furniture but it seems like I have come to the right place.
The desk is made up of 2 pieces, the top sits on the base but is able to be lifted off. I also believe that this desk once had leaves, but has not since he purchased it from the antique store.
Any information that you are able to provide will be both useful and interesting to me, and I very much appreciate it.

Re: help learning about antique desk
I can't tell you what that's worth - but I can tell you I see what appears to be water damage on the base (best i can tell from photos 3 and 4). If it is indeed water damage the piece is considered ruined and has no value, as that cannot be repaired short of making a new base. If its not water damage, then that is unusual wear.

I see, that is very helpful, thank you!
