Reclining Loveseat that feels like La-Z-Boy, but is not crap
My husband and I are looking for a reclining loveseat that is comfortable like La-Z-Boy or Flexsteel, but is higher quality. He is 6'2" and about 330 lbs (trending downward, but will always be large), so we need something very sturdy. We have a healthy budget for this piece. Any recommendations?

Best piece you can buy is the Hancock and Moore Your Way Motion with the articulating headrests. Strongest warranty out there, too. They're not inexpensive (plan on around $ 7K) but like years ahead of brands like Flexsteel and La-Z-Boy. If you need to come down a bit in price to around $ 5K look at Bradington Young series with the articulating headrests. Same mechanisms at the H&M units, but plywood frame instead of solid maple. With your husband at 330 lb, I'd probably suggest the solid maple frame - its nearly bulletproof.

The key to longevity of the mechanism is 1) don't get out of the unit in a reclined position (its amazing to me how many people do) and 2) Don't let anyone sit on the footrest when its extended.
