Headed to Hancock & Moore on Monday

Road Trip!

I am going to Hancock & Moore in Hickory NC on my two days off. Sunday I will start by delivering a Westwood Tilt Back Chair and Ottoman to a forum member and customer in Benson NC. From there I'm taking my Mountain Bike to the US National Whitewater Center north of Charlotte to do some off-road bicycling with an old friend of mine. At 7 a.m. on Monday morning I will be at H&M to get some pieces looked at and tour the Main Factory, the Frame shop, and the Motion shop. It's been ten years since I was at the factory so it will be good to go - this is how you really learn about how a piece is made. You get in there, talk to the craftspeople and learn things that never come about via a sales meeting or at the Market Showroom. Of course, I will take all the ladies in Customer Service whom I speak with almost daily several dozen not Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee - which will make me their favorite dealer for at least the rest of the year. <G>. Back home Monday night ( 6 1/2 hour drive) and I'm sure I will have a post on Tuesday or Wednesday to talk about my tour there. If I have time, I may go by Taylor King or Bradington-Young, but B-Y doesn't really encourage dealers to visit, so that stop is not a priority.
