I have a Hancock & Moore Ivanhoe recliner model 7008 with a manual mechanism that is pretty badly damaged. I tried to contact them directly to order a new mechanism but from what I understand I need to go through a dealer. I live in Los Angeles. I don't want to deal with any of the H&M dealers around here, they charge exorbitant rates, and I'm mechanically inclined. I can fix it myself. I was quoted $350 plus the part, several times. The part is supposedly about $200, and they won't sell it to me to self install. Even if I somehow couldn't figure it out, I think I could get a local upholstery shop to install it for far less than $350. Does anyone know where I can order this part?
