Help identify these deep drum side tables on round pedestals.

I bought this pair of side tables at a second hand shop. One opens left, the other opens right. They're painted black, but I'm pretty sure that's not original. I've been unable to find any marks on the pieces, except for on the back of the drop pulls. There, you can see F1540. One has a single shelf inside that is supported by 3 very "now" looking simple shelf pegs. The other one has the holes where the pegs should be, but no pegs and no shelf. No idea, however closeups of brass are no way to ID a piece. You need better photos of the piece itself, one from the top, another with a chair next to it to show scale, doors open and interior detail, etc..
