Strangest lamp I've ever found!

Hello everyone,

I couldnt find a lamp section or let a lone a good place on the net to ask about lamps. I figured someone here might have some advice.

Here is the lamp i recently found. I'd say its mid 50's. Its of solid wood, two varieties. with a oblong shaped shade.

it has no writing anywhere on it.
Any help would be appreciated!
