Re: Tavern Sofa Questions
Re: Tavern Sofa Questions
I clicked an alternative color photo and it appears to be a tufted seat.
It sounds like the feet are a pretty straightforward change as long as the attachment style is the same.
I'll have to wait for Duane to see this to find out if scaling the 5067 to the size of the 5592 would be super expensive.
For anyone with experience with the 5067 i'd be curious how comfortable you'd found it.
Re: Tavern Sofa Questions
Yes, the Tavern Sofa is a good corner sitting sofa IMHO.
It is always quite costly to custom-length any button-tufted sofas as the 'diamonds' have to all be computed for the new length and re-configured. Also the spring grids have to be reset in the base of the piece - new patterns made for the leather to be cut. Other than the arms, its like building a whole new piece. Expect to pay $ 1,500 or so on a custom button tuft length and sometimes they will just take a pass on doing them as well.
Leg swaps can usually be done for a nominal charge usually around $ 150. Legs have to be the same length or pitch angles change on the sofa.
Re: Tavern Sofa Questions
So would 1500 cover the total additional cost?
Re: Tavern Sofa Questions
Sorry, that is an estimate only. I would have to submit a request to H&M for the specific customization requirements and also would need your leather selection as that figures into the cost structure. It generally takes 48 hours to get a quote.
Re: Tavern Sofa Questions
Sounds good. I spoke with them this morning they suggested the tufted cushion and pleated an buttoned front isnt a major change an the charges should be minor. So good news there.
Do you happen to know which leather is pictured on their site for the 5067 version? It looks like a burnished brown of some kind.
Re: Tavern Sofa Questions
My guesses on the leather are as follows...
Buckingham Walnut Burnished
Hand Antiqued Saddle
Heirloom Chestnut
Imperial Whiskey Burnished
Weston Sunrise Burnished
