I'm considering Bradington Young, maybe King Hickory recliners. How does King Hickory overall build compare to BY? Any comments regarding tailoring and construction of recliners would be appreciated.

Sorry, in general I don't do brand comparisons because I don't have them to tear down. That's Consumer Reports stuff - because unless you have one you can take apart you have no basis in fact to do that comparison. Do your due diligence and see who the mechanism maker is (just did a thread on that Friday), look at the tailoring, push outward on the arms and look for amount of flex. That will get you pretty far down the road on recliners.
