H&M Urban Logic Sig Recliner
Hi
I'm comparing the H&M Ghent Recliner ( NC7000 ) and the H&M Urban Logic Sig Recliner ( UL7187 )
- Both are essentially the same size
- The Sig-UL7187 weighs ~30 lbs more than the Ghent-NC7000
Since Mfr. to store shipping is factored into MSRP, I would
expect (because of weight) the Sig-UL7187 to cost more than Ghent-NC7000; however,
Sig-UL7187 has a lower (~500.00 ) MSRP.
Has H&M has used some "manufactured lumber" ( MDF ...) in the
Urban Logic Sig Recliner ? What else would explain the cost and weight differences ?
Thanks
Andy
Re: H&M Urban Logic Sig Recliner
All Hancock and Moore recliners are made in their Motion Plant # 3, all using the same methods. If you want to see a pictorial of it, go to this link and read through it.

The Urban Logic series was designed from the outset to be less expensive to appeal to a younger buyer, hence the lower price points. There is no difference in the build structure from that series to the main line product to my knowledge. Don't put too much faith in H&M's published weights, they are all goofy and all over the board - I've been fighting those weight measurements and their accuracy for almost 20 years - its like tilting at windmills.
