Price increases on the way : Hancock & Moore

Hancock and Moore will have new pricing out across-the-board on all items and promotional programs (Just in Time, Town and Country). Effective date is Jan 15, 2019.

Also know that Federally mandated tariffs are increasing from 3% on items from China to 25% on January 1st. This will affect many leathers and promotional programs. I suspect you will see some significant price changes this time around.

For that reason, any price quotes I am doing are good only through close of business December 31st. They may extend, but have to see what comes in the mail in the way of notifications. If you are considering placing an order, it might be wise to do so before end of the year.

Other furniture makers will surely follow suit as well - we will be seeing a rash of price increases in early 2019, I predict.

New price lists arrived today from Hancock & Moore and will be effective Tuesday, Jan 15th.

Just spot checking a few items this is what I see (based on my local price structure):

# 6277-3 Monaco Sofa in GR 3: + $ 155
# 4699 Member Chair in GR 2: + $ 62
# 1944 Bradley Sofa in GR 2: + $ 163

Overall, not too bad - appx 3%.

Note that that new Just In Time Price or Town and Country price structures were not included with the mailings. I will assume these will come in another mailing. No mention of tariff increases at this time.

"Just in Time" and "Town and Country" promotional items are having price increases effective Jan 15th as well. I have not yet received them in the mail as they are under a separate mailing (not all dealers have access to these programs).

Last day for orders at the existing prices is Monday, January 14th. While normally closed on Sundays and Mondays I will be open that day (14th) to take last minute orders.

While normally closed on Mondays, I will be in the store working tomorrow as I know there will be folks that want to take advantage of the last day before the Hancock & Moore prices increases go into effect. I will have to have all orders in hand by 5 p.m. (Eastern) tomorrow. New pricing across-the-board goes into effect on the 15th (Tuesday).
