Hancock and Moore for Obama
Here's a fun video of H&M making a chair for President Obama. Guess the press got word of it and hit Jimmy Moore up for a tour.
Pretty good factory tour as well (but its quick). You can barely see her, but right at the start of the clip (00:17) is my friend Gloria, the Office Manager. When I need to 'call in the troops' with a special with your order (certain order completion date, specialty leather not normally carried, or anything that is outside the norm) then Gloria and I work it out to make it happen. She's THE BEST!
Watch closely and you can see the finishing room line where they bake the exposed wood colors onto the frame. They're the only ones using that technology to my knowledge. This really is what the place looks like, too. Not very fancy, but efficient! Notice how clean the place always is? Its the cleanest production upholstery operation I've ever been in.
I got a laugh near the end of the clip when the reporter goes to sit in the completed Obama chair......
