Help identifying wood type of this desk?

Hello! I picked this desk up at a yard sale 10 years ago. The label on the inside of the drawer says "Kenlea Crafts, Inc. Kenbridge VA." On the back of the desk is a number, looks to be 341.

I would like to purchase a dresser that would go well with the desk. Yet I'm unsure of what type of wood I should look for. It does appear to be stained. Can anyone help identify the type of wood and/or suggest what type of wood dresser I should purchase?
