Hancock and Moore Refurbishment--no warranty
Hi--
My husband and I purchased a Hancock and Moore recliner secondhand, so obviously we don't have a warranty or original purchase receipt. It's in need of refurbishing--the frame and mechanism seem fine, but the seat lists to one side (you can definitely tell how the previous owner sat), and the back cushions aren't as supportive as they might be. Can anyone tell me who does this kind of refurbishment in the DC area? I've never owned furniture that was good enough quality to be worth restoring rather than replacing, so this is sort of mystifying to me. Thanks!

If the recliner mechanism is listing, then you need a new mech, that's what happens with the pressed-in bushing are shot. That's about $ 300 before installation. if you need new seat and back cores, those are about $ 250 depending on the model. Most cores can be done yourself as must cushions have zippers. Photos would help.

Photos below (apologies for the sideways views--couldn't figure out how to flip them in the forum reply box). There's not much to see just looking at it, but you can definitely tell when you sit, especially compared to sitting in a similar chair in a showroom. The leather is in very good condition--very minor tear on a back corner, which I really don't care about.

You have a bustle back recliner, I can't tell about the mech if its askew as the chair is shownclosed. If you need cores, then $ 280 + shipping charges for that model from my store. Those all zip in and out, easy to replace.
