All wood of beds
We are furnishing a new house with a number of bedrooms. It seems most bedroom furniture we have looked at in a price range we can afford is either made in China, or is some type of MDF.
I found two brands, Kincaid and Durham that are made in North America (Durham in Canada) that seemed nicely made, all wood beds. Of the two brands, we liked Durham better. Do you know anything about this brand, and do you have reasonable alternatives in the same price range. Queen beds complete with head and footboards and rails run around $950-$1200 each.
Thank you for any help you can give.

Re: All wood of beds
I don't know brands per se, you have to look at the construction. The stress items in a home where you don't want to economize too much are:
Master Bed
Kitchen Counter Stools
Kitchen Chairs around table
Main use (family room) sofa and or recliner
Those are the pieces that are used every single day, and have weight put on them. Poor construction and materials mean failure with use. For a bed, I would want solid hardwood (not pine) and proper attachment methods for the rails and posts. The best beds are eight-way bolt up with no glue joints on the headboard or footboards. Those are beds that will never loosen or rattle or wiggle. Avoid the ones where the rails "Drop in" to a pair of pins and the headboard and footboard are glued into the posts. Those will loosen and shake around with age. Good luck.
