H&M Charter vs. City Sofas
I am seriously considering the Charter and City Sofas; none near me to sit in. The Charter appears to have a couple more inches of seating depth; Can anyone confirm this?
Also, does anyone have any "reviews" of sitting in them?
I am also looking for a "club" chair an ottoman to go with a couch. Really liked the one at Pottery Barn. Is there a suitable H&M alternative? Thanks!
Re: H&M Charter vs. City Sofas
There are two City sofas. The smaller one (9840) is has a shallower seat depth - about 20.5 inches according to the Hancock and Moore website. It's comfortable for me, but I'm 5'2" and don't like deep seats. I suspect that it would not be comfortable for a tall person. The 9844 is about 23" deep and a bit longer.
Re: H&M Charter vs. City Sofas
The Charter is a larger piece, more aggressive in the bulk of the lines and also size. A lot depends on personal preferences but I myself I prefer the Charter to sit in, but like the design lines of the larger 9844 City (add nail trim) much better. The 9840 City is too small for me.
Lots of H&M chairs to look at....see the web site.
Re: H&M Charter vs. City Sofas
isn't the 9844 called the City Sleeper? I was assuming that it had a hide-a-bed, which never sit right. Was I wrong? Thanks for both responses! I might have almost ordered the wrong thing!
Re: H&M Charter vs. City Sofas
The 9844 is a larger variant of the 9840. The Sleeper Unit is the # 6844.
