Century Sectional Fabric question

I just bought a floor model of a century sectional. Supposed retail price was $10.5k. I paid $2.4k. Did I do ok? Ran across this on a business trip an hour away from home and I did this without consulting the wife :eek: She doesnt really have an eye for quality things. Salesman said this was below stores cost. The fabric is sort of a gray with kind of a color shift when you look at it a certain way or rub it. At first I thought this may have been sun damage but looked closer and asked and this was how it is supposed to be. What is this effect or fabric called?
