H & M Resale find: Is it worth it?
Found this couch on a resale site for under $100. Do you guys think this is salvageable with a good cleaning and conditioning or should I pass?
Also, does anyone know if this is still in production in case I want to buy a second one? Did check the listing of current models and couldn't find it, just want to make sure I didn't overlook anything
TIA!

Re: H & M Resale find: Is it worth it?
That sofa is only about 6 years old, it had a short run because it was costly ($ 8,000). I can't recall the name of it, but its an Alan Price design (Friendship or Architectural sofa?) That's an aniline leather with severe sun damage. Heck yes, its worth $ 100. Under the center seat cushion there will be a swatch to cut off and that will be the original color and it won't be sun-bleached. Send that cutting to Leather Solutions International in Asheville NC and have them make you up a dye kit (about $ 100), and also buy a cleaner/conditioner kit from them ( $ 50). When you get the dye kit, that will take about six to seven applications of the dye to restore the color to 90% to 95% of where it was. Use a hair dryer to speed drying between coats. When you are satisfied with the tone, lock it in with the leather cream. And then keep it out of the direct sunlight.
Once it's re-dyed, that sofa is easily worth $ 2,000. Its in very good shape other than the UV damage.

Thanks for the great @drcollie! You are spot on, it appears to be an Alan Price design.
After doing a quick search on Alan Price I found your thread from High Point Furniture Market thread from 2014:

Appears to be a variation of the Reunion sofa - a heart stopping $14595 - $17125 a very worthwhile project!
My living room layout requires 2 sofas. Any suggestions on a current style that will compliment it?
