Looking at buying an antique bed from a friend.
The bed is an odd size, sorta full sized. The mattress with it now is custom. 2" wider and 3" shorter than a standard full size. I love the bed though. However the joints look different to me. Is this a sign of quality joints, or no? My other bed is a bolt together mortise and tenon joints which I love. So I am not sure what to think of this? Opinions? Thanks! I think you should see some artisan who has knowledge regarding antique beds. That will solve your query.
