H&M # 043 Plantation Tufted Bench in Gator Taupe GR 4

I saw this on display at the Spring Market and liked it so much I ordered TWO for my store (and I almost never order doubles). It's sharp looking, a great size and had a killer Market Special price on it. Shown in the new Gator Taupe leather with Sonoma Chocolate Gimp (that's a suede) on the base, Chestnut wood finish and "AA" nails spaced. Specially priced in my store while they last! I cannot re-order at this special price. I do have one in the box, and it can ship UPS oversize for $ 50 or so on the East Coast (more for midwest and west coast)

While I can't post the price, I can tell you its $ 350 less as a Market Special than if you ordered one straight away.

I have really liked this piece since the first time I saw it. The leather was no longer available, so I was planning to use Cayman Coffee. I was surprised to find that this is back on H&Ms website tonight. I have never seen it in person. Do you think it would go well with Cavalier Mocha? I have found with the patterned leathers the small sample sizes they usually give to customers is not large enough to judge the pattern and color variations in it and I don’t know when dealer samples will be available for it again. Thanks!

I don't recall Gator Taupe ever going away, but sometimes things get left off the website. I think the color family works just fine with Cavalier Mocha, but it will make your sofa seem very plain when you put this in front of it.

Maybe the Cayman coffee would stand out a little less and blend a bit better, then. It seems to be the same pattern, just darker and less contrast. I was hoping it would introduce new shades that I could pick up on when it comes time for final piece of furniture in the room, a leather recliner. I don’t want to be married to the Cavaliers Mocha, it would be nice to get a different color leather for the chair and still have a nicely coordinated room.

The trick is - if you order something like Gator Taupe, to get two matching pillows to put on the sofa (suede on the backside). Then it works.

That is an idea. I was looking into the pillows at one point so I already have the info for the Cayman Coffee Prices may have changed though. I will consider it again. Thanks.
