October 2010 Market for COUNCILL

Part of the Hancock & Moore family, these are various photos of interesting pieces I saw in the COUNCILL line. All made in the USA, pay no attention to the retail prices on the signs. Actual selling retail is appx half of the MSRP.

Hi Duane,

Is this Councill the same as the old Councill Craftsman line? It looks very similar. I thought Councill Craftsman went out of business in 2002 or 2003. At the time it was considered one of the highest quality furniture manufacturers in the country.

Yes it is, the owners of Hancock and Moore bought them. Its high-end, beautifully-crafted product. Some of the board flitches in some of those photos are stunning.
