Fall 2015 High Point Market Showroom Photos - Hancock and Moore
I'm going to begin posting these photos and will continue to do so at the rate of a few per day. I have to down-sample the size of each one through Photoshop to get the image size below the threshold for the forum, so it will take some time to do so. This Market, I took along an incredible new camera, my Fuji X100T. This camera does a near-perfect job taking excellent shots and controlling lighting automatically, resulting in rich, accurate colors and requires little or no color processing in Photoshop like many other cameras do. Most of these were taken by Tonja Morrison of Hancock and Moore, she is their Marketing Director and a camera geek - and asked me if she could take the photos with the X100T, she was most intrigued with this camera. And that's good for ya'll on the forum, because she is a much better composition photographer than i am! You will see my handiwork when I post the Bradington Young ones later on, they are not going to look as good.
MSRP prices shown. Realize that no one sells at MSRP and every dealer sets their own prices. Some will be higher than others and some will tell you its 'on sale' when its really not. However you can expect some kind of discount from every dealer.
These photos demonstrate why Hancock and Moore works at a different level than other leather makers. Its not only that they build the finest leather upholstery in the USA, its the DESIGN and execution of these pieces. When you look at these pieces, you will see we have gone well past what I call the 'utility' of furniture and into it as an art form. You won't see pieces like these from any other maker - I know - I walked the entire Market. Go into any other showroom and you what will be in front of you is a sea of brown sofas and chairs. Utterly boring. At H&M, they use color, multiple covers and curves in the frames to create style. I get pretty jaded working with this day in and day out, but when i walk into the H&M showroom it makes me what to replace the pieces I have in my home. So enjoy the photos, and realize many of these are brand new designs and done in new leathers that will not be on their website for another 6 weeks or so. You see them here, first!
Lets start with the 'show-off' pieces, the ones you will see in their National Ads in the coming months. Give yourself a little time to let these sink in...don't dismiss them as wild and over-the-top immediately, let your eyes play over them and pickup on many of the subtle nuances. Your H&M that you get for your own home is only limited by your imagination!

How can you not see this chair without breaking out into a smile? Yes, they are showing off what they can do with this one. When you see it in person, its fantastic. They can embroider anything on the leather. Don't care for flowers and want a U.S. Navy F-18 Hornet on there? They can do it. Superb.

Look at this unique design! Not only is the sofa very elegant and stylish, but its fully button-tufted behind the back cushions. You want a different look? remove the back cushions and now you have a tuft back sofa. Two sofas in one. Very clever....
