Re: Removing Wooden Dowel from a Cat Tree

From the marks on the dowel I assume he tried that already. First and most important, was it glued in place? If so you need to disolve the glue first, which you might be able to do with some alcohol...

Sticky: Re: A trip to Hancock & Moore's Factories

Thank you for that, what a great tour. I am sure it took you some time to write it all down. I really enjoyed it. There are a few pictures that didn't show up, though. 12134 and 12135 of the chair in...
  4. Re: BY Hanley Sectional in Legends Raw Hide 916200-85

Very interesting, thank you. What about wear to the painted areas? I still have to get a recliner eventually and I would love to get something more interesting for the leather that incorporates some...
  5. Re: BY Hanley Sectional in Legends Raw Hide 916200-85

That is a beautiful leather on the chair. I love the effect. Are there any with that effect in more neutral colors like browns, grays and whites? Or is the above sofa the same type of leather? It...
  6. Re: Best way to treat this 1950s Franklin Shockey mid century pine dresser

Just stear clear of anything with silicone it in. The mineral spirits will probably do the best job. You can pick it up at any hardware store or Big Box store like Home Depot.
  7. Re: Best way to treat this 1950s Franklin Shockey mid century pine dresser

I have used the the Old English befored and its kind of a no lose idea. Since it is temporary and easily removed by going over it again with mineral spirits, just try a small area and if you don't...

    Re: Leather back pillows

Thank you. Are the Ultra Down a layer of down over the base core or are they all down in the backs? Either way, I guess, fluffing would be a good thing. :)

    Leather back pillows

I am seeing some deflating and wrinkling of the back cushion on the City Sofa I bought. I don't think this is unusual, especially when I tend to sit in the same spot every night. I was wondering if I...

Re: Tariff increases coming soon perhaps

It does sound like a sales pitch, but all you have to do is watch the news to know its true.

Don't know how I missed that, but it is very helpful, thank you! None of the leathers I am considering are in there.

Re: Tariff increases coming soon perhaps

Just curious, since a relatively few number of the leathers on the H&M website state where they are from. Is it only the protected leathers that come from China? Are all the full aniline and embossed...

    Re: Lane or Craftmaster/Hickory Craft?

Just remember that 21 years is a long time. A lot of manufacturers have downgraded their quality, and shipped manufacturing overseas. Unfortunately, Lane is one. It used to be a fairly good quality...

    Re: Wildwood Lamps

Do I need to use the quote form to get a price on a Wildwood Lamp from you, or is that just for furniture you can't price publically? Looking for the Wildwood Reverse Pyramid Crystal Lamp 22176.

Re: Repairing Pull - Up Leather marks

Wow that sounds like a nice rental. I hope it had a heft security deposit. I hope it works as well on pen that has been on the sofa longer as it did on the sample. I would love to see before and...

    Re: Bunk beds/loft beds

Boy is that post confusing. I am just assuming we talking about kids here sharing a room. That is about all I can get from it. What is Dh's Kit? What is a "small double" room? "P's room is a small...

    Re: Throw Pillow Recommendations?

Not sure you meant for a bedroom verses pillows for a living room sofa or chairs. In my bedroom I have a storage chest at the end of the bed, a couple of chairs, and some people have benches, etc....

Re: Help newbie! Power reclining sofa purchase

Just my two cents, but I wouldn't rule out the larger City Sofa, either, unless it is really out of the budget. I went with the smaller City, and really would have preferred the larger at the time....
  21. Re: Can't get our of my recliner, help! Footrest too hard to close

Duane, is there Also a technique to getting them into the recline position? I just leaned back and gripped the arms on bth sides and tried to push it back but had no luck. I plan to add a recliner...
  22. Re: Can't get our of my recliner, help! Footrest too hard to close

I know what you mean. I sat in some H&M and a couple of other high end brand recliners recently at a local store. I could not budge them. I wondered if they would become easier to move with use and a...

I also used an air powered flooring nailer to install my hardwood floor. Family members have installed floating floors, though, although they were not hardwood, without any squeaking. I looked at a...
  24. Sticky: Re: Leather Cleaning & Conditioning Protocol for all brands

Well, I ended up taking your word for it about the leather solutions on protected leather, despite what H&M's warranty and care information stated, and ordered it from you. I was happy with the...
