Question on a "Special" on a H&M Recliner

I am putting together some furniture for my new home office and I just happen to run into a pretty good deal on a H&M Woodbridge Chippendale Wingchair Recliner. I saw a good deal only that the price was $1399, unfortunantely the sales person did not know much about them except they order them once a year at the "Show" and it came in 1 of 3 "document" colors.

They seemed attractive and I was told that they are the same H&M construction but nothing else really. I was just wondering if anyone else knew something about them before I jumped. My plan was to get one of these and one of the B&Y specials for my office and living room.

The # 1021 Woodbridge Recliner from H&M is on the Town and Country program year 'round in Document: Chestnut, Claret, and Navy. That's not a limited special and is available at any time.

As in all the H&M pieces, there is no secondary construction for promotional pieces. Its all done the right way, every piece in the line.

Price-wise that's about average for a brick and mortar store for that chair @ $ 1,399. You can PM me if you would like to see what I sell that model for <G>

I'm actually thinking of one of these instead of the BY special too.. for a few hundred more bucks I'm assuming the H&M will sit better and last longer?

Well, I have one of each in my home, a # 1021 Woodbridge and # 4114 Bradington Young. They sit side-by-side in a small media room. I have to tell you that quite honestly I cannot tell the difference in those two chairs, and I've looked all over them. They are virtually clones of one another. For that reason, the B-Y Deal at $ 769 just blows everything else away right now.

Excellent info Duane - Can the BY cores be requested as extra full like the H&M Q21's?

No, I'm afraid they don't do Extra Fulls, but they allow for extra firm if a customer requests. I think in the 4114, you're good with what they come with pretty much, Rob!
