H&M shipping delay recently?

just check if this is common in past 3 months that orders are delivered slower than before? I put an order with a dealer at the end of Dec 2009 for a T&C Austin set, and they told me it'd likely be delivered end of April. so we're talking about 16 weeks waiting time.

is this usual thing from your experience?

Not to answer for Duane, but I recently ordered a H&M set at the end of January and it was delivered by early March (roughly 6 weeks and it crossed the country). Luckily in my case, the leather was in stock so the turn-around time was quite fast.

It could definitely have to do with whether the leathers you ordered are in stock. Ours was pushed back a little because one of the leathers wasn't in stock, and then the "restocked" date was delayed.

Order times with H&M vary and it really depends on cover stock, assuming the dealer ordered it promptly. The recessionary pressures mean a reduction in inventory of covers not only at H&M, but from their leather supplier and from the tannery itself. 16 weeks is a bit outside of the average on most covers, but no cause for concern, perhaps the dealer only orders every ten days or so? I have appx. 50 H&M orders in process right now, none older than January, but I do submit orders daily. Most Austin series in Town & Country covers are done in about 8 weeks average, but some can take longer.
