    Default Spots from UV Protector

Over the weekend I was trying to be a good citizen and so I cleaned my leather H&M chairs. Then, following the directions, I sprayed on the UV protector. It specifically said *not* to wipe the spray and just to let it dry, which I did. Now I have spots all over my chairs. Help!

    Hi Lisa,

That's typically caused by over-applying. Try a mist coat next time you use it. To remove the spots, take the leather cleaner in the kit and apply to the spots with a soft toothbrush - gently scrub, let dry and then come back with the conditioner and apply a coat of that, should be good as new.

Duane, will that remove the UV protection?

I'm sure it will, Lisa. You'll probably have to re-apply that after you go through the cleaning/conditioning regimen.

Hi, I just ordered a Leather Magic kit myself and haven't really seen the instructions yet. Anyone know why the UV Protectant shouldn't be wiped over "evenly" with a microfiber cloth (since that's what I would likely do with the Cleaner and Conditioner)?

My understanding is it should be 'misted' on for best results.

I "misted" it has instructed, and all it did was leave spots. There is no way to regulate the spray, so some spots were big and others were small.

Lisa, call Danny at Leather Magic to discuss if that didn't clear the leather. He's the head of the operation and when you dial the main number go to Technical Support

Oh and if you get a response back, please post the info here as well. I'm planning on using this same product soon and would appreciate any info on preventing this potential issue of uneven application.

    Thanks!
