    Default To Scotchguard or not

Our new Smith Brothers of Bern sofa was delivered this morning. We choose not to purchase the Guardian protection program from the store.

Would it be a good idea to use the Scotchguard (after a test spot to check for color fastness)? I have never treated a large item with it before.

Absolutely! Buy a few cans so you have spares. Spray it in a well-ventilated area, and re-apply in a few months when water drops no longer bead on it.
