    Default Tacky feel and cleaning

Duane; We love the kodiak sofa/loveseat and sadler recliner in Columbia butternut that we purchased about a year ago from you. I purchased the Leathermagic cleaning package and used it about 6 months ago. I recently noticed a slight tacky feeling on the leather furniture in some spots particularly where my husband lays his head. No one else can feel it, just me. I have used the cleaner, but I still feel that tackyness. Is this my imagination? I don't see anything. Should I do it again and then apply the conditioner and protectant? Thanks for your input.

I'd try the cleaning regimen again, especially the 'cleaner' portion of it. Then apply the conditioner (did you get the kit with the protectant in it? if so, that goes on after the conditioner). See how it feels then....

I recently used the leathermagic kit myself and noticed that the UV protectant leaves a definite "sticky" sheen on to the surface. Since it's supposed to be water soluble, it should come off if you clean it again.

I've used the leather cleaner on that portion of the chair 3 times today and still get that tacky feeling when I glide my hand over it. I have yet to use the conditioner or protection steps. I also have the UV protectant, but have never used it. Any suggestions? I may never let my husband lay his head on this recliner again.
