Evening (1667) Sofa in Imperial Whiskey Burnished

This sofa is in a burnished leather. Based on Duane's write-ups about the various leathers, I accepted that one has to be somewhat adventuresome to select a burnished leather. I am not disappointed in my selection, but I do want to pass on my observations after living with it for several months.

My 10-year old neighbor, when she saw the sofa said, "It looks like someone just painted your finish on. I can see the brush strokes." Out of the mouth of babes! I had not noticed this and I am still not disappointed since I like the overall "look". I mention this to you so that you will be aware that what you see in the sample will most likely not look anywhere near the finished product because it depends solely on the "artist" applying the burnishing.
