    Default Veneer v. Solid Wood

Duane (or anybody else, for that matter!), could you please explain the pros and cons of veneer v. solid wood? I'm trying to help a friend find a dining room table (used) and he really wants solid wood, since he doesn't want to have to deal with peeling veneer. So I'm wondering if we could have a quick tutorial on the difference between the two (other than the obvious)?

Seriously? I did a search for "veneer" before posting and didn't see it. Hmmm.
