Default Hancock and Moore 1828 Journal Sofa & 1827 Loveseat in Kipling Whiskey GR2

Mainstay pieces in the H&M line with one of my favorite leathers. Stylish and comfortable, this group was done in Sandalwood finish and an "S" nail. Though you cannot tell by the photos there was also a +1 firmness specified in the seats and it does make the piece sit different from the one I have on my floor by a noticeable margin.

The 1828 Journal is a beautiful sofa and it looks perfect for my home; but only if I can get it through a 31 inch entry door. From your experience, would I have any problems getting it through the front door? The sofa would come in from a covered porch that is 6 feet wide and enter straight into the living room.

I enjoy reading your posts and the opportunity to learn about furniture construction, aniline and protected leathers, etc. I saw your reference that you had no problem getting the Member into a small doorway but would appreciate your opinion and wise guidance about getting the Journal through the 31 inch door.

Time to find a different model, that 1828 Journal isn't going to go through a 31" doorway, sorry. The back is too tall on that model and the long curve of the back makes it even worse. Look at models that have a shorter back height (when the back cushions are removed) and arms that don't to to the full front depth of the sofa. Something like the Member sofa is better....
