Photo of any H&M piece in Document Chestnut?

Duane,

I've seen pictures on this site of pieces in Cavalier Oxblood and Dark Blue but I can't find any of pieces in Document Chestnut (the 3rd Town and Country married leather for the Austin line in T&C). If pictures are available please post them. If not, which H&M leather with images on this site looks most like Document Chestnut?

Hi John,

I don't think there are any photos here in Document Chestnut. I don't sell much Document at my store and can't ever recall a piece in the Chestnut coming in. To be honest about it, I'm not a big fan of the Document series as a whole. While its an important, mainstream leather for Hancock and Moore, its what I consider the "Chez-Whiz' of leathers, very highly processed, homogenized, and puree' d. I like more natural hides, and of course - convey that to my customers as well. The end result is I don't sell much Document and therefore don't have photos of pieces made up in it. Sorry.

Thanks Duane. Is the Doc Chestnut color close to any photo you have? Say like Ryan Chestnut?

Okay, this is funny.... Look at the last few images on this page for the Google image search, "Document Chestnut".

Leathery skin, Duane?

That sure doesn't look like Document Chestnut to me.....but you can't trust camera shots (especially indoors) to be accurate in color rendition.

I can't believe GOOGLE puts my mug on the search images when you key in 'Document Chestnut'. Sheesh....they need better search spiders!

I found an image in the thread "New furniture, how long can I expect to smell that new leather?" from 6/17/2009. The poster says it's Document Chestnut. Is this what Doc Chestnut looks like? BTW..Googling "Kipling Whiskey" does not produce Duane's magnificent visage.

Here ya go: Kodiak sofa in Document Chestnut. I'm a Cheeze-Whiz kind of guy! Duane is right, it is a little more processed than some leathers, but not nearly to the extent of the painted-looking cheap stuff. It has a lightly-pebbled, but not too-consistent finish. I love this couch, and can hardly wait for my Austin Tilt-back to arrive
