Came across this - news article about litigation on chemical burns on Chinese-made leather sofas caused by an anti-fungicide used to keep things 'fresh' while the sofa is in storage/transit. Note that this is United Kingdom based, not USA.

Just another reason I don't sell Chinese made furniture. I understand there are folks that have to buy in that category as their budget doesn't allow for USA-Made product, but l have no confidence in the product coming out of that country.

Just last week one of my suppliers who told me his pieces were "made in the USA" inadvertently shipped me a replacement piece in the original 'made in China' cardboard. No doubt the guys in the back didn't get the message they weren't supposed to re-use that cardboard. That's it for that supplier - G O N E .

I don't like the Chinese product. And I have no desire to support the Chinese economy. I avoid it when I can.
