Hello there. I am new to the furniture world and have inherited a few pieces of furniture that I have very little information on. The first is a set of "club style red velvet (looks like velvet) horsehair chairs. The second is a Pair of "waterfall" blue glass topped wooden end tables. My mother in law stated that they purchased the items back in the late 70's early 80's from an antique dealer. The only information that I have is that they are antique. Does anyone else know about these items that may be able to guide us into the right direction. Do we keep the chairs? How do we take care of them? We have about 2 weeks to make a decision to keep or trash or sell... I will post pictures tomorrow of these pieces.
Any input would be better than none
Its virtually impossible to be able to make any kind of assessment without good, clear, and detailed photos. Sorry.

I have the pictures of the "Horse Hair chairs" and the "Waterfall Glass top tables", But am having trouble with the uploader. I have a MacBook. Any ideas?
I have some other pieces that Id like some help with.
An Antique chair and an old trunk that are possibly from the 1940s.
Thank you for your time.
If need be I do have Skype and can show them that way.
Click on GO ADVANCED at the lower right hand corner of the text box you type your reply to, and then a new window will open.
Scroll down to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and click that on.
Look for the green '+' and ADD FILES.
Click on SELECT FILES, then locate them on your computer.
Click on UPLOAD FILES and they will load onto the forum database and appear in a box. Click on INSERT INLINE and they will then be in your post.

I've done all of that and keep getting red ! next to all of the pictures. Regardless if I do them one at a time or as a bunch when I click upload nothing happens. I apologize if this is inconveniencing you. Thank you for your help.
Most of the time the red exclamation points are due to your photos not being properly formatted or too large in size. Be sure the size is not too large (72 dpi to 140 dpi is what I normally use, then 6.5" x 4.5" or similar) and also that they have a .jpeg extension in the file name. I have a Mac at home and notice that if I don't manually put the .jpeg in the file name they will flag when I try to upload.

O Ok. I will try that and we will see.
I don't recognize anything that would be collectible or investment value in those shots. The wicker box is made of particle board and has plastic corners, it has no resale value. The tables are interesting and have nice form, but I'd have to see some real detail shots including the leg joinery to see what you really have. The chair is unremarkable.
