Yes it's new, I love it for the price, but I'm in lust over the HM sundance but 6K was outside the budget by miles. We also picked up a Drexel Heritage chair for 600.00. I'm in the process of ordering leather cleaner etc..but I see they have them for several types of leather. Do you think you can tell me about about what the factory or standard leather is for the BY sofa? It was a standard not custom so I assume it's what they send out for the floor samples etc.
A # 4716 Sundance in the Town and Country collection (Portfolio Claret or Tobacco) can be had for well under half that $ 6K price, plus shipping. Ultimately final cost is determined by the specific leather, but the point is you can have the H&M and stay within your budget, too!
BY has both finished and aniline leathers. I would need the six-digit series code of the leather to determine which you have. It will be in a format like this : 9xxx-xx

lol I'm like a kid in the candy store! Got the sofa and chair, after having so little in the room for months (we've purchased a new home and are starting from 0) they both look HUGE..gorgeous but big! Not sure how to add a picture so hope I don't mess it up.
The numbers on the tag are
DXWXH
068995
MSRP 5,097.00
4,078.00
13960
Can you tell from those which type of leather it is?
chair
Sorry, I can't there are no 9xxx-xx series codes on that tag. The sofa model is a 689-95, and the # 13960 is most likely a store inventory number.

thanks, my fault I didn't lift up ALL the cushions on the end seat it says Analine and finished leathers cleaning A & F.
Forgot to ask, they recommend Leather Master products which is better for A & F that or Leather Magic
Aniline and Finished is everything. It should be one of the other, but not both. Leather Master has been in and out of business so many times I'm not sure if they're around or not. I've moved over to Leather Magic as have many.

ok the info I gave is just the leather master tag on the bottom of the cushion..lol no more listening to the husband. I'll have to talk to the people in the morning and get the leather type. I've looked on the hang tag, the Do Not Remove tag the only thing to give us any clue is the A for Analine had a red dot on it.
