So what other hobbies, or interests does everyone have?

My hobbies personally are( in no particular order):
Cars
Dogs
Cooking/BBQ
Photography
Working out
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

I am a bit of a foodie. Other then cooking, baking, and bbq'ng, there is nothing I love more then going out on a Saturday night with friends/family to one of my favorite restaurants, or scouting for new ones.

Ill start:
Here is a thick cut "Iowa chop", I rubbed it down with EVOO, and seasoned each side liberally with kosher salt, and fresh ground black pepper.





While my fire was heating up, I made a glaze with some Pineapple Habanero pepper jelly, and dark rum.



I like to sear at 750 degrees.. Almost there.



On the coals. Sear for 90 sec per side.



Then I pull it out, and shut the vents down, letting the chop rest until the cooker temp comes down to about 400 deg, which takes about 20min. Glaze it, and throw it back on the grill with some applewood. I cooked it roughly an additional 8 min a side, glazing it every 4 min or so. I pulled it at 140, which is medium for pork.



Then I let it rest for another 10min, to let the juices re-distribute.





Juicy as can be, and ready to eat.




And some BBQ:
Country Style pork ribs, rubbed down, smoked with applewood, then glazed with a Sriacha/honey glaze.




Turned out really good. Nice combination of salty, sweet, and spicy.
