My 3 yo just broke a bottle of cheap kids nail polish she got in a party goody bag( now who thought that was a good idea?!? ) and dripped on my leather couch.
the leather is full, top-grain, semi-aniline dyed leather. It is a butterscotch colored leather. I tried some acetone but it faded the leather a bit, so I didn't want to ruin it. What else can i try?
thanks!
nancy
Careful with Acetone! That is instant death to most finishes, be they on wood or leather. Call Leather Magic at 800-232-4092. You need a pro repair on this, and if on a loose cushion you can remove the inner core and send the casing to them. They will be able to restore it - they're excellent at what they do. Should be under $ 100.

Thanks for the info!
BTW have you heard anything about Bay Leather Restoration in annapolis. They are listed on the Leather magic website as servicers. They used to operate in D.C.

Thanks!
I've not heard or used them. I can tell you that the people at the Leather Magic HQ really can work "magic" though, so if its something you can put in a box and ship easily, I'd sent it to the source.
