I'm hoping someone can offer advice. I am tired of buying crappy pillows that get worn down or lumpy after a couple of months. This even happens on the pricey ones that I have tried. I have bought just about every type of pillow they offer at Bed Bath and Beyond from the $5 ones to the $100+ and have also tried the Sleep Number store pillows, which are pretty nice when you buy them but wear out too quickly for what they cost.
So, I want a nice comfortable pillow that will last at least a year. I do not want memory foam or latex or down (due to wife allergies). Does this exist? I am willing to spend some decent money. Can anyone recommend some brands? Are the actual Royal Pedic pillows any good?

Searching for the perfect pillow is like trying to find the perfect slice of Key Lime pie.
I bought a pair of the Royal Pedic pillows. My wife says they are the best she has ever tried and sleeps with one. I didn't care for them myself (too much loft) and use an old down pillow.

Have tried everything else: soft, medium, firm, down, down-alternative. These answered my prayers. No more neck pain!
