Quick question: Does anyone have suggestions on how to protect silk velvet? Just had two chairs covered and hope to keep them in good shape. Though my daughters are getting older and a little more cognizant of not putting feet up or eating chocolate on various pieces of furniture there's still the concern that something will go flying and stain them before their time. Have checked online and there are those who say 'no' to commercial products on velvet as well as the opposite, not sure what steps to take. Again, any suggestions are appreciated!

I have never sold velvet, but my go-to for fabric protection is always Scotchguard that you buy in the can and spray on.
