    Default Jamison Bedding

On vacation at the Marriott Surf Watch in Hilton Head for a week. My wife and I were up all night from the lousy mattress here in the Master suite. Granted, a lot of bedding preference is very personal - but this is the most lumpy, marshmallowy soft bed we have ever slept on in an upscale resort. Soft does not equal luxury, Marriott!

It was so bad that had to find the label. Jamison Mattress. Ugh.

Would it be tacky to bring our Royal Pedic mattress to the resort in my pickup truck next time?

I guess Jamison is bad eh? I stayed at the Marriott there down by Palmetto Dunes last year, the mattress was not bad but not great either. Certainly not bad enough for me to check the maker!

I have gone to war on this mattress and have stripped it down to rotate it and remove the cushy mattress pad in an effort to get it to firm up a little. Its so bad that last night i slept on the sofa in the suite until my wife came and got me up. The sofa is better....

Note to Marriott: sofas should be soft and beds firm, not the other way around.

We will see if my efforts improve the sleep quality of the bedding tonight. If i could only find a piece of plywood here at the resort in a king size......
