This is a beautiful sofa. Can you recommend a Bradington Young leather that you know is a winner? There are just too many.. Which B-Y leather would be close to the grade 4 Antelope by HM. I tend to like the HM Antelope Nugget too.

Thanks in advance for your help... Would a grade for stand up to heavy use?

There are no leathers in BY that are even close to Antelope, sorry. If you were to cross over BY hides to H&M, the BY's really would not go past a price grade 2 in H&M world, and Antelope is a grade 4.

In the world of leather the relationship to durability is the inverse of the price. That is, the cheaper the leather, the more spill resistant it is, because better leathers are not covered in chemicals and clear coats. Cheaper ones are.

The key to durability however, is owner maintenance. You have to clean and condition the leather periodically and keep it out of direct sunlight. If you do that, they all will last, though finer leathers can be stained by oil and acid spills.
