Leather sectional advise

I am looking for a leather section (or sofa and couple of chairs) for my basement media room. My restriction is what ever I buy has to be able to go through 29 inch (wide) X 79 inch (high) door to basement stairs. I have read good things about Hancock & Moore, but was told they do not have anything that can navigate through the door and steps. Only suggestion I have seen is Henredon Fireside coustom series. Any other recommendations especially from Hancock & Moore or Bradington-Young?

That 29" is tough. Try Simplicity Sofas, the owner Jeff is a frequent poster here and his pieces are designed to assemble easily once in the room. I would be hesitant to suggest any standard sectional based on your narrow doorway.

Thanks. I will look in to Simplicity sofa. I was hoping H&M or some other manufacturer will have something similar to Henredon Fireside where legs and back cushion come off bringing the height down to 29 inch.

I called Jimmy Moore today and he says the CITY sectional, # 9840 series, WILL fit into a 28.5" doorway opening if the legs are removed. So there ya go! You will need to have some room on either side of the threshold to 'wiggle' and tilt it some to get it through.

Thanks for looking in to it further. If I want to pursue this option with the "The Keeping Room" who should I call or email at the store. I live in New Jersey. I am assuming the legs are removable on this sectional. Also, is the type of legs is an option or dependent on series (for example we like the legs shown on sundance sectionals, #4716).

You get me at the store....it's a 1-man operation! Yes there are (3) #2 square drive screws that hold each foot on. In the City series, it's a wedge foot. Not too many choices to swap out because only a few styles screw-"on, the rest are frame-integrated. Sundance ones won't work, at least not easily.
