Default Councill Pieces in the Showroom

Duane, I was in the showroom yesterday and saw the most beautiful cabinet made by Councill. Would you please post some pictures of your other Councill pieces? Thanks a bunch.

The only other Councill piece I have in the store right now is this sideboard:

There is the Councill web site, of course!

Here's the piece you saw in the store on Saturday, its the model # 2004-401 Brenton Commode, in Mahogany (finish 503) with gold accents. One only at this price (was a market special) at $ 2,595

Would J.L. Treharn or Buchanan be able to do something like this piece in this type of finish? Most of what I saw in your store had a more vibrant woodgrain than appeals to me for everyday. Thanks.

Treharn could not, but John Buchanan can easily do it. In fact, we are finishing up on a clone of a Baker Table* right now that is in a similar wood and finish.

    * We are doing an oversized table at about half the price that Baker was going to charge for custom.

I wish I wasn't a furniture snob. It would make life so much easier. Let me take some measurements and we'll talk. Thanks Duane.

Duane, would Mr. Buchanan be able to install a television lift mechanism in the piece?

We would have to scratch build one rather than trying to modify another maker's. Lift mechanisms - the good ones - are quite costly. And we don't use the cheap ones because - well - they're cheap and fail. A piece like that with a good lift unit will be $ 6K to $ 8K.

Guess I'll live with the TV on top or put it away myself. Just got a promotion at work so I can afford a handmade piece, but not in $6K range.
