Default Stickley v. Hancock & Moore Leather Sofas

I posted this in a different section but am not getting any responses so thought I'd post this hear to see if I might get some feed back.

Hello - this is my first post here. I was hoping to get some feed back on either of these makers when it comes to leather sofas. I've got my choices narrowed down to a Stickley Essex/Stickley custom sectional) or a Hancock and Moore Restoration.

Any information that you could provide on these 2 makers regarding: leather quality, build quality, comfort, longivity, or whatever you think might be helpful would be greatly appreciated. Another thing, I do have chronic back issues so any cushion recommendations for a firmer cushion would also be helpful.

    Thanks!

Well, I think you will find that both are well made, and Stickley sells H&M in their own stores. I don't think you would go wrong either way (H&M Restoration series is sofa only, not a sectional). I don't know the Stickley cushion options, but in H&M you can ask for Q21 Extra Firm cores and that should do the trick, Its a 21 oz core in place of the softer 16 oz which is standard, and a no charge option.

Thanks Duane! What are your thoughts on the Hancock & Moore Restoration sofa regarding overall comfort? Need to make sure it's big enough if I need it to be used for overnight guests.

Restoration sofa for sleeping on? Its a bit small....I'd not want to have to spend a night on one. Interior depth is only 22"...that's pretty tight for sleeping. You know what I like for something like that? The new Jessica Charles sleeper shown at Market, I ordered one for my store I liked it so much....and I NEVER order sleep sofas for inventory! You can get these in H&M leather, too...

That's a gorgeous little sofa, Duane. Does it come larger with a double mattress? And how comfortable is that mattress?

Yes it does come larger, look in the OCT 2011 HIGH POINT MARKET photos and I took a shot of the larger one, though its a pair of singles (sectional). How comfortable is the mattress? Well, beats sleeping on the ground and you won't confuse it for a Royal Pedic...
