No worries..! I was just kidding around. I do get a lot of impatient customers who send me an email or post a forum PM and expect an answer quickly, then follow it up with a phone call "Did you get my email I sent an hour ago?" Well - no, I've been unloading a truck all morning and then have to move things around in the store - may not get back to the computer for four or five hours!
H&M doesn't generally change dimensions from year to year on established pieces. You can get something known as 'pattern creep' where a piece gets a little larger over the years. This is caused by using cardboard templates and marking a new one with a pencil tracing when the old one is worn out - the patter grows by a pencil trace each time they make a new one. Over several years, that can make a difference. But more likely that +/- 2" variance is the cause. Measuring upholstery is inaccurate because of curves and crowns and where the cushions start and stop. I don't place too much faith in posted measurements from any maker and consider them educated estimates at best.
