    Smile Entertainment centers

Please lead me in the right direction for some traditional casual cherry entertainment centers for our new house and to share a space with our new H&M chair and ottoman!

    Need more details...

How big a TV unit? Do you want to hide the TV or have it atop the unit?

What is the room style - formal? casual?

    Thanks Duane,
We have casual traditionally styled cherry furniture for the room and the TV is a 46" flat screen. My dream would be a console of some type flanked by bookcases with solid doors on the bottom of the bookcases. I really don"t need/care for a "bridge" with lighting to connect the pieces unless that is a recommendation. Simple and functional are my mantra!
    Thank you!

That might be a tough one to find ready-made. We make those up custom (doing one right now for one of our forum members in Texas out of tiger maple), because the size requirements of customers for the bookcases are all over the place. For one without the bookcases, this is my most popular (48" size would be what you would need). Nice unit, just over $ 1K. I have a cherry one in my store right now.

Hooker makes some nice looking media furniture. I have a couple Hooker pieces and have been pleased with the quality and value. Hooker is the parent company of Bradington & Young (the cheaper leather line Duane sells).

Thank you both for your responses. Now I have two directions, maybe three to consider. Duane, any feelings about Hooker? Not the same as your lead but some pieces that include shelving may do the job.

Hooker is not something I would ever personally own, because its 1) Made in China and 2) has a lot of construction shortcuts. Its probably not going to collapse if you buy it, but I find it fairly uninspiring and - well - it looks like it was made in China.
